The fortress of Klis

This strategically positioned fortress is about 15 km from Split and was used in the Game of Thrones series. It was nicknamed ˝gate to Dalmatia˝ because of its location in a ridge pass between Mosor and Kozjak mountains. Several rulers used it to control access to the Dalmatian coast through the hinterland.

You can stroll through the entire fortress, and there is also a museum with a lot of information room. As icing on the cake, you have a beautiful view of Split and the surrounding islands.
